- How did you come up with the band Name?
We were looking for a name that could represent the whole essence of the band and the whole oriental culture vibe, something that represents our virtues as professionals and the virtues of an entire generation, such as: wisdom, strength, power … Vikram has a lot of that …
- Tell us about where you come from and how that reflects in the music?
We are a Brazilian band. That tells a lot …. I mean in Brazil we have a lot of cultural and race mixtures in peaceful coexistence.So normally the Brazilian musician is much more open minded to study new musical styles and cultures, (unlike those who only play Heavy Metal) Brazil is a mix pot of rhythms, colors and cultures and this made us able to walk a this paths as a band.
- Tell us about the song-writing process, how do you create your music?
We do not impose a rule, or an order. What we actually do is define our sound and from that we are free to bring lyrics, riffs and grooves … Sometimes it’s a big puzzle, sometimes the music is just ready and we let it speak for itself …
- Who has influenced you the most?
We have a mix of influences. In the band everyone likes the good old Heavy Metal and some of us have oriental roots so that gives more spice to the sound, since we always listen to oriental music, jazz, Indian music, classical music like Schoenberg, Debussy and traditional things as well like Slayer and Iron Maiden, Korn, Metallica and it turns out that this mix of influence results in a unique sound …
- What was the first song you or your band ever wrote? Tell us if you performed it, trashed it, etc.….
Tell us if you performed it, trashed it, etc… The first song created was “The Burden”, written by Tiago Della Vega. And each and every one of us added more elements to the composition.
- What song are you most connected to or proud of ?
This answer is difficult. All songs have some special moments , but the favorites among us are “Hassan Tower”, “Requiem for a Salem”, “The Mortal dance of Kali” and “Prelude of The end”.
