Maryland has been home to innovative artists that have blended, and reshaped, how we hear punk rock. Not just in what is being played or how notes zoom through one’s soul. More importantly in what is being said. Abingdon, MD’s One life to lead has a lot to say.
OLTL, One Life To Lead, is the perfect blend of pop-punk with down trodden voraciousness of old school hip-hop and nu-metal. The band was formed around singer Trey Miller’s contrast of vocals, where rhythm and soul meets grit and emotion. It all is rounded out by guitarists Casey Allen and Brendan Willis Complimented by the pounding rhythmic drumming of Ronnie Sherman.
The band has independently released two EP’s, The Only Way from Here is Up (2018) and Not Coming Home (2017). OLTL’s Rad-Pop records debut is titled Visions of Grandeur (2020).
