- How did you come up with the band Name?
“Eva” is a song reference and we added “Under Fire” to give the name some bravery. It takes heart to be in rock n roll.
- Tell us about Where you com from and how that reflects in your music?
We come from Southeastern Michigan, near Detroit, a city that identifies with it’s hard-working blue collar ethics. That’s definitely heard in our music and our approach to the music industry.
- Tell us about the song-writing process, how do you create your music?
It can be any of these! We try not to shut down inspiration, if we can get a good vibe from something we chase it down. If it isn’t working right away, we record what we have and save it for later. That’s getting to be a big pile, lol.
- Who has influenced you the most?
There are a variety of influences for our band including Staind, Metallica, Deftones, Sevendust, and Nine Inch Nails. Life. Life situations and people.
- What was the first song you or your band ever wrote? Tell us if you performed it, trashed it, etc.….
Betrayer! It’s the lead track on our first album, Anchors, and we still open most shows with it.
- What song are you most connected to or proud of ?
Heroin(e) is a very personal story for Amanda. It’s awesome that this is the first track people are hearing from us.
- Do you enjoy playing live and what do you enjoy about it?
We love it. There’s nothing that compares to the rush of playing live! The energy you give to the people you’re playing in front of gets amplified and sent back to you ten fold in rock music. Rock fans are the best.
- What is next for the band?
The COVID-19 pandemic really changed the playbook for new bands on our label, but we are prepping for a full-length album release in 2021 with a supporting tour.
